About us at Abbey Care
Abbey Care was established in 1997 by Mike and Nessa Downes and was run by them until their retirement in 2016. Mike and Nessa were absolutely dedicated to their clients, striving to provide a service that was flexible, reliable and always went the ‘extra mile’ for the clients and their families.
Mike and Jenny Nightingale joined the company in 2004, and took over the running of Abbey Care when Mike and Nessa retired. The Ethos that Mike and Nessa established continues today and underpins all that we do for our clients.
We are based in Haywards Heath in West Sussex and provide care to individuals in their own homes in Haywards Heath, Lindfield, Cuckfield and Burgess Hill.
Jenny Nightingale is the Registered Manager. Mike and Jenny are supported by a Deputy Manager, Helen Reed, and our Care Co-ordinators Suzie Porter, Diane Langford and Joanne McDonald. We can be contacted by ringing 01444 455622 or via email.

We are members of the Home Care Association.
We are an approved Care provider for West Sussex County Council (WSCC)and the NHS. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
